D-A-D

Happy Father's Day. I was driving to Home Depot a few months ago and saw this aqua truck in a parking lot on the way there. I immediately thought that it would make a great photo op for my girls. I am also in love with the color aqua so I had the brilliant( can I say that?) idea of doing a dad's day pic with my girlies. I think it turned out stinking cute(can I say that?). Decide for yourselves:)

We gave Robi a frame with 3 openings and a girl with a letter in each opening. SO darling! We also made him dad tokens-little A said they were good for 2 bike rides with daddy, big A said they were good for 2 cuddles, and T said she would do one load of laundry:) My girlies are so lucky to have a dad like him-he's the best and they love him to the moon and back:) I feel so fortunate to have such amazing men in my life, Robi and my dad are both awesome:)

Look what I found at TARGET!

Can you believe that I found these at Target? I LOOOVVEE that store. I was moments away this weekend from painting a canvas this color and using my cricut to cut white vinyl and slapping this saying on there. Target saved me sooo much time:) They come in all sorts of colors-yellow, green, red and turquoise. I had to refrain from buying one for each room. Don't you love the pillow too? GO out and get yourself one before they are gone....

Who Dat?

Who Dat? My girls and I were so excited to watch the Superbowl yesterday not because it was football but because the Saint's logo is Fleur de lis:) My girls and I love anything Fleur de lis so we decided we needed to support this amazing team by decorating some shirts. They each decided on a different color that coordinated with the Saints team colors. They also added a little bling-cuz' they are obsessed with blinging:) Of course, the game was fun to watch but the commercials were even better-one of my faves was the Go Green Campaign by Audi. HYSTERICAL! I missed the Betty White one and the Oprah one but heard those were good too. The Saints story is an inspirational one and I am so glad they won the Superbowl:)
We got our t-shirt turtorial from this amazing website: Thanks Amazing Mae:)

2010 Word

I'm back and really trying to honor one of my resolutions this year-blog more and blog stalk less:)

Last year, our family word was HARMONY. I loved the concept which I stole from ali edwards and other bloggers. I would have to say that posting our word in a frame on our mantel DID NOT bring more HARMONY into our abode. With three girls, there is a lot of cat fighting so maybe I should have tried reverse psychology and chosen the word DISCORD:)

I'm trying it again this year and for me I wanted to focus on having more JOY in the mundane. Finding JOY in the everyday minutia of emptying the dishwasher, doing laundry, making lunches, cooking dinner, driving to piano and waiting for an hour, driving to sporting events, participating at the kid's tennis lessons, etc. Finding JOY is a realistic goal and one that I hope will get me to focus on the true JOY in life-FAMILY:) So here we go 2010:)
I even anticipated this word because our Christmas card spelled out
J-O-Y:)

Look who turned double digits

My middle child is 10! I can't believe that she is in the double digits. Here are TEN things that I love about Moo (Big A):

1. Her tenacity-she sticks with something until she can figure it out.
2. Her intergrity-she is so honest that she will get into the car right after school and blurt out something that she thinks she did wrong.
3. Her kindness-she is so kind and tenderhearted towards others and she has a soft spot for the underdog.
4. Her dedication-she comes right home and wants to get her homework done early and wants to earn all "4's" on her report card.
5. Her free spirit-she loves to sing "Opera" around the house and loves to try new things.
6. Her perseverance-she preserves every day with her diabetes and I admire her for that.
7. Her smile-she has a smile that lights up a room.
8. Her love of hair-she spends more time on her hair than I do getting ready. She will be a perfect hairstylist when she gets older.
9. Her drama-she is dramatic in the most loving sense of the word:) One day she will earn millions putting this talent to good use:)
10. Her snuggliness-is that even a word? She is a great snuggler and I cherish that time with her at the end of the day:)

She wanted to have a late over with her buddies so here are some pics from that party.
